Belchford
Spring Water Company The Blackwater family operated the Belchford Spring later Company from 1926 until it closed at the end of World War II. The water in glass bottles was delivered by truck to all the customers and businesses on Belchford's 6 routes. In 1929 the company acquired the Fair Springs Company and added their customers to their Routes. Growth slowed dramatically during the depression and the increase gasoline prices during World War II made it Impossible for the business to continue. The Belchford Spring Water Company property was purchased by Rogers, Heart, and Feld Reality Company and the property was developed into Spring Lake Gardens in 1951. |
