Risk Investigation Team

    The Risk Investigation Team investigate questions concerning  Risk Assessment/Communication for lead.  Your team is responsible for Final Report Part I (individually) and Part II (group). You need to complete Part I before moving on to Part II.

  • Read about each of the five incidences in Ramford County and then come back here and answer Part I: The probable causes of the five incidents. Each member is responsible for answers to the questions of each incident in Part I.  You will submit these to your President / CEO.

  • After answering Part I, you will complete Part II as a team: The risks of exposure to lead for humans and other animals and how to communicate them and educate the public. Your Project Manager will compile this report and send it to your President / CEO.

1.  What are the risks (health, environmental) associated with exposure to lead?

2.  What is a safe level - in the environment, food, and in humans and other species?

3.  How will the risks be communicated?

4.  Who should be targeted to receive the information first?

5.  Should there be different messages for different groups?

6.  How is real versus perceived risk dealt with?

7.  How should clean-up be conducted in order not to increase risk of exposure?

8.  How will the public be educated?
