The CEO of your environmental consulting firm divides the staff into five Expert Teams. 

1. Field Investigation Team

2. Laboratory Investigation Team

3. Risk Investigation Team

4. Policy Investigation Team

5. Solutions/Technology Investigation Team

You will choose or be assigned to a team.  Each team will be responsible for:

Preparing written answers to the guiding questions for their team. The guiding questions are included in the “TEAM DESCRIPTION”.

The Field, Laboratory, and Risk Teams will meet to prepare and make Presentation One (15-minute)covering the following:

1. Inventory and assessment of current sources of asbestos pollution, including both point and non point-source contributors in Ramford County and regional sources of asbestos pollution.
2. Review of the current science on asbestos deposition, transport, and exposure pathways.
3. Review the current science on the impacts of asbestos pollution on public health and ecosystems.

The Policy and Solutions/Technology Teams will meet to prepare and make Presentation Two(15-minute)covering the following:

1. How much economic damage is being caused in Ramford.
2. Review of the strategies for clean up and reduction of exposure to asbestos.
3. Review of the existing asbestos pollution policies in other states in the US.  Suggestions for policy(s) that should be implemented to alleviate the problem, including estimates of cost, and how much would be saved in damages.
