How can I incorporate TIES into my curriculum?  

T.I.E.S is designed primarily to be used online.  The initial set-up and communication may be done through a list-serve or a course management program such as WebCT. In T.I.E.S,  WebCT,  is used because it offers a simple course management program with a range of features like a class calendar, an online discussion for asynchronous conversation among participants, and real-time chat rooms.  Discussions may be easily catalogued.  Instructors may post assignments and students can submit them online. Once students are familiar with a course management program, the real fun begins!  T.I.E.S. participants are first introduced to one another online. *  The Welcome Activity allows students to become comfortable with using the course management program, do some online research, and get to know one another. Each student is assigned to specific team within an Environmental Consulting Company.
