| Angela Cristini, PhD |
|
 Dr. Angela Cristini is a Professor of Biology at Ramapo College. In addition to being the project director of the NSF and DOE supported (RST)2 and a grant from the American Council of Learned Societies, she has been the principal investigator on 13 research grants (EPA, NOAA, Sea Grant, NJDEP) Dr. Cristini is the president of the American Littoral Society, in addition, she has been appointed as an Academic Advisor to the New Jersey Legislature (1998-2000) concerning environmental issues and served on Governor Whitman's Dredged Materials Management Team working on issues associated with contaminated sediments from the Passaic and Hackensack Rivers. |
| Mr. Nils Abate |

Mr. Nils Abate is a teacher who received (RST)2 training in 1994 and is an instructor in 1995-1999 Summer Institutes. He now serves as the Technology Coordinator and has developed the demonstration site for the (RST)2 watershed project at Grant School in Ridgefield Park. Mr. Abate is also an Adjunct Professor in Ramapo's MSET Program. |
| Mr. Nick Ariemma |
Mr. Nick Ariemma is an Adjunct Professor in the MSET Program at Ramapo College. He received his MS in Communication Science from Montclair University and has earned certifications in Interactive Media Design from the University of Nebraska, and in Instructional Design from the University of Michigan. Nick is the
President of PerformanceLine Partners, a consulting
firm focused on utilizing e-learning technologies to
improve sales performance and customer service. |

| Dr. Rena Bacon |
Dr. Rena Bacon completed her undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University, before moving on to graduate work at the City University of New York (CUNY). There, she received a Ph.D. in Biology. Following her graduation, she went on to do post-doctoral work first in the Division of Tumor Immunology at Harvard's Dana Farber Cancer Institute, then in the Comparative Immunology department at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, and in the Experimental Hematology department at Harvard University Medical School at Children's Hospital. Most recently during her sabbatical in Jerusalem she was a visiting Professor of Medicine in the Hematology Division at Hebrew University's Medical School at Hadassah Hospital-Ein Karem. Dr. Bacon has been a Professor at Ramapo College for the past 11 years, where she teaches Anatomy and Physiology I + II, Immunology, Histology, Human Biology, Fundamentals of Biology, Senior Seminar on AIDS and Senior Seminar on Environmental Health. Dr. Bacon is the
advisor of The Ramapo College Pre-Med/Pre-Health
Organization. She has been the club's advisor since
its inception in 1994. |

| Dr. Helen Burchell |
Dr. Helen Burchell is the director of School/College Programs at Ramapo College and coordinates the College's academic outreach activities. She will assume responsibility for dissemination activities. Dr.
Burchell is the coordinator of the ITV program at
Ramapo. |

| Ms. Sandra Clark |

Ms.
Sandra S. Clark
received her Ed.M. in Communications, Computing and
Technology from Teachers College, Columbia
University in 1989. Her undergraduate degree is a
B.S. in General Sciences from Northeastern
University. Sandra has had over 10 years teaching
experience in Public Schools, Private Schools and
Museums. Currently, Sandra is an adjunct faculty
member at Ramapo College and is the Web Design
Coordinator for the Women’s Project of New Jersey. |
| Mr. Rick Fritschler |
Mr. Rick Fritschler is the Executive Director of the New York State Education Department funded, Mid-Hudson Service Learning Institute for Watershed and Environmental Studies. He is an Adjunct Professor in the MSET Program at Ramapo College. He has worked extensively in the practical applications of Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing for local land use and watershed planning. |

| Ms. Evelyn Horner |
Ms. Evelyn A. Horner currently serves as one of the web designers for the TIES, RST2 and NJCM projects. She has a MS in Educational Technology, Ramapo College, 1999, as well as a M.Ed. from William Paterson University and a BA in Dramatic Arts. Ms. Horner is the Technology Coordinator for Butler Public Schools and as an Adjunct Professor, co-teaches selected MSET courses for Ramapo college. |

Ms. Carol James, consultant in science education, is an educator who has worked with technology resource leaders to develop strategies for K-12 instructional technology through the NJ SSI. Ms. James has coordinated and designed web based, telecommunication, satellite distance learning, and computer education programs for school districts throughout the State. |
| Dr. Joan Cook Luckhardt |
|
Dr. Joan Cook Luckhardt is the Director of the Lead Poisoning Prevention Education and Training Program at the UMDNJ where she is on the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry. This education and training program has developed community based educational interventions, educational campaigns on lead poisoning prevention and carried out research on lead issues. She
has been a member of the Committee of the National
Academy of Sciences on
reducing lead exposure in the Americas,
and on the national lead poisoning prevention
panel for the Council on Public Health Practice.
Dr. Luckhardt chairs the mapping lead exposure
information SIG of the Urban Regional Information
Systems Association (URISA) which uses GIS as
a tool to identify areas that have a higher risk of
lead exposure. |
| Ms. Grace Moone |
Ms. Grace Moone is a graduate of the Masters of Science in Educational Technology at Ramapo College. She resides in the Hudson Valley in New York, with a view of the Catskills. In the Rondout Valley School District she is currently the Learn and Serve America Coordinator for the Elementary Schools, and a Math Mentor for the district. She is also a member of the educational team for Watershed at Ulster County Community College in the summers. |

| Mr. Paul Sears |
Mr. Paul Sears is a Science Teacher and Science Supervisor 6-12 for Summit Public Schools. He teaches as an adjunct in the MSET program and is active in the NJ science education community. He brings expertise in educational technology, brain research, assessment, and science education. |

| Dr. Robert Tucker |
Dr. Robert K. Tucker organizes cross-disciplinary research, education, and outreach programs and facilitates multi-unit partnerships with academic institutions, state agencies, and non-profit organizations in NJ. From 1986-1995 Dr. Tucker was the Director of the Division of Science and Research of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The Division, under his direction, was cited by the national Governors' Association as the Nation's outstanding state environmental research program. The Division led one of the first statewide comprehensive toxic chemical surveys in air and in surface, ground, and drinking water. While at NJDEP, Dr. Tucker chaired the Interagency Task Force for Lead Poisoning Prevention. Dr.
Tucker is now Director of Research for the Stony
Brook-Millstone Watershed Association and serves
on the NJ Mercury Task Force. |

| Dr. Edward Van- Blargan |
Dr. Edward VanBlargan is an Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems at Harrisburg Area Community College. He
is a certified ArcView
instructor and experienced in the use
of GIS software in analysis of environmental problems.
He will coordinate the preparation of the GIS
materials and provide technical support. |

| Mr. Anthony Vouvalides |
Mr. Anthony Vouvalides is Principal of the Roosevelt School, the original demonstration site for (RST)2. Mr.
Vouvalides will serve
as the liaison to other school administrators.
He introduced the use of satellites in
elementary schools in NJ; as a result, his school
district won a "New
Jersey Best Practice" award. |

Evaluators,
The evaluator of the TIES project is Relearning by
Design, based in Pennington, New Jersey. The
evaluation team leader is Holly Houston, and her
associates are Carla Salewski and Brian Chinni.
Relearning is an education research and consulting
organization that specializes in curriculum,
assessment, and teaching issues. |
