Lovely Ladybugs!

Puppets, poetry, and hands-on investigations excite children during this discovery workshop. Songs and activities teach insect body parts, and children will be delighted as live ladybugs open their wing covers and fly.

The Science of Sound - special schooltime performance

Musical instrument inventor Jody Kruskal uses homemade instruments as physical models for explaining the science of sound, including vibration, frequency, relative pitch, instrument classification and rhythm. A wonderful example of the recycle/reduce/reuse concepts, as Jody encourages students to make their own instruments in the classroom and at home.

Get up close and personal with a variety of winged reptiles. as naturalist Bill Robinson teaches about animal adaptations for survival, and the important role animals play in the balance of nature.
