Directions for FTP Assessment

Copy Files to your Flash Drive

Follow each step carefully to get the activity files

Download the test files

  • Browse to your flash drive | Save

Save activity files

  • When the download completes, Click "Open"
    (If the dialog box does not appear, open the file directly from you flash by finding and double clicking it.)

Open zipped files

  • File | Extract All

Extract zipped files

Complete the extraction wizard (screens may vary depending on the software used)
  • Start the extraction process by clicking "Next"

Start extracting files

  • Verify that the files will be extracted into the existing base_act folder | Next

Extract files to you flash drives

  • If an option exists to show the extracted files, select it.
  • When extraction is completed, click the finish button.

Finishing extraction of activity files

  • Click finish - A window should open showing the files.
    (If it does not, go to you flash, find the new base_act folder, and open it by double clicking.)
  • Navigate to the root (very top) level of your flash drive

Browse to the root directory

  • Verify that you have two folders named "base_act."
    One looks like a normal folder; the other is marked with a zip symbol
  • Click the zip file you downloaded and delete it using the delete key on the keyboard.

Delete the zipped file
