A colleague has just come to you and asked for advice on buying a new computer.  What questions would you ask them?  What advice would you give them?  You should be able to advise them on the general specifications on what they should look for and approximately how much it will cost.

What does the user currently have? What does she want to use it for? Word Processing? Surfing the Net? Gaming? What is the life expectancy of the new purchase? Does the buyer want to go "all out" or do this on a budget?
