| Week 1: Introduction to GIS sites. Introduce Mappler
software and view example projects. Enter data on to "MSET
Schools" map Homework: Review examples (see links below). Brainstorm ideas for classroom use. Week 2: Administration of Mappler site: creating accounts and enabling restricted access. Homework: Bring a blank CD or a second flash drive next week. Email proposal to instructor - due two days before next class. Week 3: Review proposals. Portfolio cleanup and backup. Begin work on Project. Homework: Work on project. Week 4: Project work session Homework: Project/presentation due start of class next week. Week 5: Presentations and wrap-up. |
