Week Two:

Due Monday: Portfolio updated & posted - See Project Details

Monday: Proficiency One

Web Skills:   Basic Tables Skills, Using Tables for layout & data, Front Page image manipulation, Image compression & manipulation, Basic CSS

Design Concepts: Site & Page Layout theory, Color, Fonts, Template Development, Server side includes, Basic CSS

Required Readings: Site Design Chapter (All), Page Design Chapter (All), Graphics Chapter (All),

Additional Readings: Article 1, Color Theory 1, Color Theory 2, Color Theory 4, Color Theory 5, Color Theory 6, Color Theory 7Color Tool 2, Color 3

Week Three:

Due Monday: Proposal posted & linked to portfolio - See Project Details

Monday: Proficiency Two

Web Skills: More Cascading Style Sheets, Rollovers, Buttons, Text, Behaviors, Mixed rollovers, Image manipulation, Slicing images, Server Side Include Pages, Flash Buttons, Flash Text, Course Builder, Behaviors

Software Skills: Adobe Photoshop Elements, Fireworks, Swish

Design Concepts: Use of graphic tools for web development
