Requirements

• Attendance & Participation in class discussions and activities.
• Complete individual and class assignments.
  There will be a total of 2 formal assignments assigned throughout the course. You will need to post the work for each of these assignments on the web and linked to your portfolio page. Each of these assignments will be evaluated via a rubric.
• Proficiencies: Students will be asked to demonstrate a web design skill during class.  Each topic will have been addressed the previous week.  If a student is not satisfied with their grade, they may take one alternate proficiency to make up for it.

Assignment Points:

• Weekly Proficiencies: 10 points each. 30 points total.
• Design Project Proposal: 30 Points
• Design Project: 30 Points
• Attendance & completion of additional class assignments 10 points.
• Presentation of Design project.  Please note that while no points are given explicitly for the presentation of the project, it is a requirement.

Project Rubric

Attendance Policy:  This is a very intense course, in a very short time frame.  If you must miss class for any reason, please notify the instructor ASAP.  You should team up with a "notes" partner at the beginning of the semester.  If you are absent for any reason, get notes and information from your partner. It is your responsibility to make up the work and be prepared for any upcoming proficiencies, regardless of absences.

Procedure for Course and Instructor Evaluation:
Feedback and suggestions are welcomed. Results of the feedback are used to update the content and emphases of the course as contemporary research suggests.
